Ornaments of Alchemy

Ornaments of Alchemy is a luminous collaboration between artist Rosie Emerson and photographer Becky Palmer, created in partnership with fine jeweller Annoushka Ducas for her Sloane Square flagship boutique. In these portraits, models emerge from shadow into molten gold, poised and statuesque; living figurines caught between stillness and transformation.

Featuring muses including Daisy Lowe, Amber Le Bon, Virginia Bates, Eliza Doolittle, Ophelia Lovibond, Caroline Issa, and Mouchette Bell, each composition fuses photography, collage, and fine jewellery to explore the transmutation of beauty and form.

As British Vogue’s Osman Ahmed observed, the series “captures the abstract beauty of fine jewellery and women through a mixture of photography and collage.” Exhibited at Somerset House during London Fashion Week and later auctioned at Bonhams for Macmillan Cancer Support, Ornaments of Alchemy stands as a radiant celebration of art, adornment, and metamorphosis.
